Respos Legal

Terms of Use

Effective July 13, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Liam Young, operating Respos (“Respos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using Respos, you agree to these Terms.

1. Respos and these Terms

Respos is a household coordination service for managing tasks, supplies, expenses, settlements, calendar events, reminders, and related shared information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is incorporated into these Terms.

Your license to the iOS application is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement . If these Terms conflict with mandatory platform terms, the mandatory platform terms control to the extent of that conflict.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Respos. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. You may not use Respos if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the service.

3. Accounts

4. Households and shared information

A Respos household is a shared space. Anyone with a valid invitation code may be able to request access, so household members must protect invite codes and only invite people they trust. Household members can see shared content and may see other members’ names and email addresses.

Household creators or authorized members may remove members, change assignments, or update shared content. When someone leaves or is removed, shared records, history, and reassigned items may remain available to the household. Respos is not responsible for another household member’s use, disclosure, or modification of information that you share.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Respos a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, display, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service and comply with law.

You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. Do not enter sensitive information that is unnecessary for household coordination.

6. Expenses and settlements

Expense splitting, balances, and settlements in Respos are organizational tools only. Respos is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, financial adviser, or debt-collection service. Respos does not transfer money between members or verify that an expense or settlement is accurate. Household members are responsible for reviewing and resolving balances among themselves.

7. Premium subscriptions

Billing and renewal

Respos Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. Available plans, billing periods, and localized prices are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews and Apple charges your account within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period at the price shown for the renewal.

Managing or cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless Apple states otherwise. Deleting Respos or your Respos account does not cancel the subscription.

Household access

A Premium purchase currently grants Premium features to the purchaser’s active Respos household. Other household members do not own or control the purchaser’s subscription. If the purchaser leaves, is removed, changes households, or deletes their account, the former household’s Premium access may end at the applicable expiration time.

Restores and refunds

Use Restore Purchases while signed into the Respos account associated with your purchase. Purchases may also be subject to Apple account and transfer rules. Apple processes payments and refund requests; Respos cannot independently issue an App Store refund. Apple’s terms and applicable law govern refund eligibility.

8. Free tier and advertising

Respos may display third-party advertising to free-tier users. Premium features, ad availability, and prices may change over time. Advertising and tracking choices are described in our Privacy Policy and in available app or device settings.

9. Acceptable use

You may not:

10. Third-party services

Respos relies on services provided by companies such as Apple, Google/Firebase, Google AdMob, and RevenueCat. Their products and websites are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

11. Intellectual property

Respos, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by Liam Young or applicable licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms and the applicable app license, no rights are transferred to you.

12. Changes, availability, and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice when required.

You may stop using Respos at any time and may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.

13. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESPOS IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RESPOS WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT HOUSEHOLD DATA OR CALCULATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE TERMS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIAM YOUNG AND RESPOS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO RESPOS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR RESPOS DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$50. THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any rights you have under mandatory local law, disputes will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in California, and you and Respos consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.

16. General terms

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, or transfer of Respos. These Terms and the incorporated policies are the entire agreement between you and Respos about the service.
